21.07.2010 ASISTIM completes new study for 2010

After a very successful flight planning survey in 2009, ASISTIM decided to again launch a small and informative study for this year.

Map

The study reflects an evaluation of the accuracy of costs on over-flying charges. The driving question of Operation Managers was: Do the charged navigation fees coincide with the actual flight plan figures? The investigation revealed only marginal deviations, which in most cases were to the advantage of the airline. Find out more HERE.

16.03.2009  The ASISTIM Academy has finalized its first Airport Slot & Scheduling Training Course. The efficient management of airports slots has moved into the focus of small and mid-sized airlines as deficient slots and high fines have become more and more a burden on their budgets. Realizing that airport slots are a valuable asset encouraged smaller airlines to better understand the procedures involved. The course was a great success thanks to the experienced trainer and of course due to the highly motivated participants.

10.09.2008 Never-ending economic pressures, in particular today's high and rising fuel price, are forcing airlines to use energy more efficiently. In terms of operational flight planning, fuel costs can be expressed in a simple formula: Flight planning x fuel x distance x habits = cost of fuel. ASISTIM and the services we provide can effectively help you achieve significant reductions in fuel costs. Applying our expertise to each and every part of the formula can realistically result in proven savings of 0.5 - 2.5 minutes of equivalent flight time per sector.

ASISTIM has launched its Airline-Fuel-Saver Website to highlight the potential savings that can be achieved through efficient flight planning. Calculate your potential savings using the ASISTIM fuel calculator.
